The British Berkefeld® Ultra Sterasyl is a premium ceramic replacement filter compatible with all Berkey® gravity water filter systems — Travel, Big, Royal, Imperial, Crown, Berkey Light, and Go Berkey Kit — as well as ProOne, Alexapure, Phoenix, and Purewell systems. Designed and manufactured in Britain from 100% natural materials, it is the only gravity filter in the world certified to NSF/ANSI Standards 42, 53, 372, and 401, providing independently verified reduction of particulate, turbidity, cysts, bacteria, heavy metals, trace organics, PFAS, enhanced organics, and pharmaceuticals. With a nominal filtration rating of >99.9% at 0.5–0.8 micron, it improves taste and odour while delivering eco-friendly, chemical-free filtration. Available in 7″ and 9″ sizes; installed in the upper chamber of your Berkey® system. Please note: cannot be used with Berkey® PF-2 fluoride and arsenic filters, and it is not recommended to combine Ultra Sterasyl and Ultra Fluoride filters in the same system.
Each set of 2 filters produces up to 2 litres of filtered water per hour and is recommended for replacement every 3,000 litres (approx. 800 gallons) per set of 2 — typically once per year depending on usage. Not for use with salt water or water softeners. Includes wing nuts and washers.
