Portable Berkey® Filtration in a 22 oz Bottle — Clean Water On the Go
The Sport Berkey® Water Bottle brings the same trusted filtration technology as the Black Berkey® Elements into a compact, portable 22 oz (600 ml) format — perfect for camping, hiking, travel, driving, exercise, backpacking, and emergency preparedness. The bottle is constructed from non-leaching LDPE #4 medical-grade polymer (BPA-free) and uses the same filtration formulation as the larger Black Berkey® Elements, removing or reducing 200+ typical contaminants including heavy metals, herbicides, pesticides, organic chemicals, petroleum-based products, silt, sediment, chlorine, and unpleasant tastes and odours — with up to 99.9% reduction. Simply fill, squeeze, and drink. The filter has a shelf life of 50 years and is recommended for replacement after 640 refills of municipal tap water (or ~160 refills of raw/untreated water).
Care & Storage: Before first use, flush the filter twice before drinking to remove any process dust. Do not store the filled bottle on its side or upside down, as the air release valve in the cap can leak. The cap is leak-resistant, not leak-proof. Do not freeze, microwave, or run hot water through the filter. For extended storage, flush with a chlorinated solution (¼ tsp per ½ gallon), allow to dry thoroughly with cap removed, then reassemble and stow.
