Whirlfloc is a concentrated kettle fining agent made from refined carrageenan (seaweed extract) that dramatically improves beer clarity. Added in the final 5–15 minutes of the boil, it binds to haze-forming proteins and beta-glucans, encouraging them to clump together and settle out during the whirlpool and cooling phase — leaving you with a brighter, cleaner wort and less trub loss.
How to Use
- Add 1 tablet per 10–15 gallons (or ½ tablet for 5-gallon batches) in the last 5–10 minutes of the boil
- No rehydration needed — drop it directly into the boiling wort
